Here’s a video about “Power Teaching”. This is the new type of teaching that is taking hold over the ineffective and boring style of teaching that has dominated education for decades. The themes of all new teaching methods include, students being physically active, short sections of lecture, students teaching each other, and most important of all, the learning is fun to do. These are very exciting times of change in the ways of teaching. By the way, it’s interesting to note that what has been found to work for one age group seems to work well with all ages. So as future teachers these new discoveries in learning will be effective no matter what age group we end up teaching. Students will enjoy our classes much more and most importantly, students will get substantially more learning from each class. This is otherwise known as a “Win-Win Situation”. :-)
